Use Search where possible rather than the "Files" tab

Unlike the "Search" tab, the "Files" tab will only display files available from friends, and not any of the files available via turtling from "friends of friends".

Finding new files on the network

There's currently no way to list the new files on the network, but you can list files that have been recently saved/downloaded/modified/created (i.e. files with a recent timestamp):

• Using the "Search" tab, perform an Advanced search for files with "Date greater than ...".

• The "Files" tab can also be made to show recent files, by switching from "Tree view" to "Flat view" and then sorting the file list by date.

Note that unlike the "Search" tab, the "Files" tab will only display files available from friends, and not any of the files available from "friends of friends". The "Files" tab may also be slow in Flat view if you are on a network with a large number of files available.
