Rare issues

RetroShare worked before but now both NAT and DHT are red

If your RetroShare worked for several days but now both NAT and DHT are red, and you can still some friends online, the cause might be the corruption of the file "bdboot.txt" (for example if RetroShare crashed, or if the computer was power off).

If the size of your file "bdboot.txt" is zero byte (location described in Documentation:ConfigurationFiles), then :

  • If you have a backup of your RetroShare profile, use it to restore the file (copy it onto the zero byte file)
  • You can get the "bdboot.txt" from a installation file of a RetroShare release
  • You can get the "bdboot.txt" from one of your friends
