Downloads won't start

I am continuing to have difficulties getting downloads to start. My Retroshare setup has two users. If we both start up retroshare, everything works as it should. But after a period of tine (say 24 hours) even though retroshare still seems to be connected (under the friends tab), downloads that are selected will not start. The only way to get them to start is to shutdown one of the instances of retroshare and start it back up.

The issue seems to be at my end (as opposed to my brother's end). Somehow Retroshare on my end gets into a mode where even though my Retroshare indicates it is connected to my brothers, I indicate that there are not active transfers and my brother has an existing partially completed transfer that is in "waiting" mode.

To get things running again, I have to shutdown Retroshare on my computer and restart it.

Any idea what might cause this to happen? Network? Retroshare configuration?
