How do I dump the forum data from RetroShare 0.5?

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

How do I dump the forum data from RetroShare 0.5?

Postby vi0oss » Mon Jun 22, 2015 10:11 pm

How do I:

1. Backup the forum content in RetroShare 0.5 in some text format?
2. Transfer forum messages from RS 0.5 to RS 0.6?
3. Change expiration period for forum messages from "1 year" to "never" (in RS 0.6)?

So it seems to be no easy way.

Fortunately RetroShare seems to be Open Source, so it's probably the time to dig into the source code...

Are there any hints where (in the source code) is the best place to read and dump the cached forum data?

The gui<->backend interfaces are defined in libretroshare/src/retroshare
There should be a file like "rsforums.h".
