Official debian repositories?

This isn't meant as a criticism, but I'm curious. You offer your own Debian packages, instead of getting the Debian devs to do the hard work for you. Is there a reason for that?

Do you have plans to get retroshare included in the official Debian repositories at some point, or is there a good reason why you don't want to or it isn't possible? From what I can see, all the sources should be compatible with the Debian guidelines. I assume getting into the Debian repositories and those of its daughter distros would be great publicity and encourage more people to try it out.

Hi Connor,

Its a good question. We would love Retroshare to have offical packages for Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, etc.
We have actively tried in the past - but got ignored.

Hopefully with Retroshare's growing popularity, one day it will happen.
If you have any contacts or influence in this area? let us know.
