0.5.4c: Can't create another location

Postby ikarpov » Tue Dec 04, 2012 6:01 pm

I have a couple of Macs in my place. Initially I set up Retroshare on Macbook running Lion and exported the PGP keys. Then I tried (actually I've been trying many times) to create a new location on my iMac, running Mountain Lion. I successfully imported PGP keys to GPG tools and set trust to Ultimate as it was advised in the thread about a similar issue between Windows/Mac OS X. No luck. Retroshare can't see my keys and offers me to create a new identity.
Both boxes are sharing the same Retroshare version, 0.5.4c.
Any ideas to try?

RetroShare handles its own keyring since a few versions ago.

Try copying your .retroshare/pgp directory (I don’t use RS on OSX, but if I understand correctly the source code, it should be in your home directory) to the other Mac.

Thanks, it worked.

I would say the word 'import' is rather misguiding, isn't it?
