I've been hard at work all afternoon designing a new UI for Retroshare, this is only a concept.

What do you guys think ?

I like the over-all idea behind your concept.

The friend area would not work out here, because most friends do not have any pics set. Or i cannot recognize them by pic. So a list with names seems more comfortable to me.

i'm sure that could be done without a problem, I'll make the modifications in the morning, I'm also working on the other tabs, but that could be a while

Hello!
Nice, good job! I look forward to more.
Can we not join in the pseudo image, what worries me is the length of the list of friends, it will stay on one page, with as and a measure of connection page that adapts to numbers of friends?
Great job.
A +

With which tools is this GUI achieved? It looks appealing.

I think that is only a mockup, since I don't recognize the font and he writes that "this is only a concept."

I like the appearance of this, it reminds me of the Windows Phone 7.5 UI. But I'd say that the font is waaaay to big and to hide the most menus from start is not very good for the user experience.

Looks cool, I like it :) Maybe captions for friends names an an "Online-Light" in the pictures or beside them. I think its good for new users. Some features like the matrix, etc. aren't very helpfull for new users, they make them crazy. The features should be hidden and only be shown in a "Advanced-Users"-Mode.

I just wanted to add something: Look at the new Steam UI. The Big Picture. Would be cool in RS too.

It will be not comfortable for big number of friends in the network.

Better stick to traditional contact list in column (small userpicks + names).
