The wiki is really much better than the old one... Is there any way to migrate old forums to phpBB ? I guess then old forums could be shut down without any problem.

Is it possible to have a syntax highlight extension ?
Something like this one
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:SyntaxHighlight_GeSHi

Maybe there is one already but I haven't found it yet

Hi,

somehow it should be possible because people migrated their forums form SourceForge forums to phpBB, too. For example, I found this:

http://www.fckeditor.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=6228
wrote "...We have moved our Forums from SourceForge to phpBB. This change aims to bring quality services to our community, as well as promoting knowledge exchange.
More than 16.000 messages have been moved..."

==> migration is possible, I'll try to find some howto information

I want a method for the website too, mean migrate forum with the website without a iframe.
similar how in
example:
http://www.fckeditor.net/forums/
http://www.phpbb.com/

mean will be more userfriendly, to switch forum to website .

you have html/php knowledge?

Hi,

OK I made a script to pull all the SourceForge forum messages, will import them into my own phpbb to see how it works.

I guess people will have to use "reset password" function after migration, because we can't migrate sourceforge password to phpbb.

Do you have any access to sql database of phpbb, to upload the messages there ?
