NSA is decrypting AES. Could retroshare use to bluefish?

Postby Benni12345 » Sun Dec 28, 2014 8:40 pm

Hi, retroshare uses openssl. This library contains a variety of cryptographic algorithms. Specifically, retroshare is using AES.

Here are new Snowden files showing that NSA has an active program that decrypts AES:

Could retroshare in the next version switch over to bluefish, which is also available in openssl?

Until proven otherwise, AES is strong enough. What makes you think that this is not the case?

If you refer to the Spiegel Article, please read it carefully.

AES is not broken. NSA is advising others like NIST to use AES because its strong, and they try to break AES because lot of people are using it.

In your linked article does not say AES is broken NOR NSA is able to break AES.

in german: Da steht ja nichtmal das AES gebrochen ist!
