Certificate (location) expiration

Postby Praetorian » Sun Jul 06, 2014 8:48 pm

Is it possible to make that OpenSSL certificates (locations) used to encrypt cmmunications would expire after an alustable period of time? Then RetroShare would generate new certificate with the same name, signed by same GPG key. It will increase security a little, isn't it?

Yes it would be possible to make ssl certificates(locations) expire after a defined time. Replacing certificate is not as easy as it might sound, because all the configuration files are encrypted and signed with the ssl key.
