What about VOIP?

I did a search of the forum and found a few comments about VOIP but no thread. One of the search items included a link to a project called IHU (I Hear You) http://ihu.sourceforge.net/index.html. Why couldn't this app or some other type of simple voip plugin like IHU be integrated into RS? As a plugin maybe? That way there would be decentralized VOIP capabilities as well, covering the whole array of comms. Any ideas??

VOip is beeing worked on. Some early alpha already available. I did not test it myself though.

The existing plugin is in trunk/plugins/VOIP.

It offers a very basic functionality but works. It still needs some GUI polish to be distributed.

If retroshare could support darknet VoIP, that would be nice.
